Stephen Waarts: New Album Release & Vancouver Debut
The 22 March marks the highly anticipated release of Stephen Waarts’ third studio album, which delves into Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Violin Concerto No. 1 B flat major K207, recorded alongside Howard Griffiths and Camerata Schweiz for the Alpha label, featuring cadenzas written by Waarts. He will also make his debut as part of the Vancouver Recital Society series on 27 March together with pianist Gabriele Carcano. The programme features Claude Debussy — Sonata for violin and piano in G minor, Robert Schumann — Violin Sonata No. 2 in D minor, Jean Sibelius — Four Humoresques and George Enescu — Sonata No. 3 in A minor.
